EDUCATION..
AIM
The aim of West Belfast Education Partnership Board is to work to support and enhance existing education provision in the area and raise the profile of education in West Belfast.
ROLE
The role of the education sub-committee is to act as advisor and facilitator for the development of an education policy and programme of WBPB.
MEMBERSHIP
The sub-committee will be representative of the statutory sector involved in education at all levels, nursery, primary, second level, further and higher.
The sub-committee will be representative of those involved in community education at all levels.
The sub-committee will be representative of participants and parents of children in full time education as well as organisers and deliverers.
MEANS
The committee will work through regular monthly meetings. It will liase with other forums existing, or developing, to address education issues at local or sectoral level. The programme staff of the Partnership Board will carry out the work of the sub-committee.
West Belfast has excellent schools and we work in partnership with them to develop
bespoke programmes for students to insure the best possible chance in their examinations
