> To remain informed of all major planning applications associated with West Belfast;

> To initiate a capacity building programme which facilitates local involvement in the planning and development process;

> To improve inter agency relationships with public sector agencies i.e. Planning Service, DSD, DRD, Belfast City Council, and private sector interests.

> To identify areas for environmental improvement and to secure  the resources for project implementation;

> To lobby and assist in securing funding for housing, planning and environment related initiatives;

> To provide responses to relevant consultation documents;

> To collectively influence how related policy is formulated;

> To oversee the organisation of the annual Community Environment Awards.

> To promote the West Belfast and Greater Shankill Public Arts Strategy.
